Nottingham is one of four winning Go Ultra Low Cities!
Government funding issued by the Office of Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV) has been awarded to Nottingham City Council who led a bid on partnership with Nottingham County Council and Derby City Council.
The £6.1m funding will help to deliver innovative measures that promote the uptake of Ultra Low Emission Vehicles (ULEVs) in Nottingham. The package is projected to deliver an additional 8,000 ULEVs by 2020.
Nottingham is bidding for further OLEV funding inclusive of a £0.9m Electric Bus Project Charging Network, a £25.5m joint bid with Nottingham City Transport to introduce 82 gas double decker buses.
An Ultra Low Emission Vehicle is defined as one that emits 75g or less of carbon emissions from its tailpipe per km travelled.
